Unilever Singapore is PR awards brand champion for second year

For the second consecutive year, Unilever Singapore was recognised at Marketing Magazine’s 2015 PR Awards as Brand Champion, with the Ice Cream category leading the total number of awards secured. The award is presented to the organisation with the most number of awards for that evening, and Unilever Singapore proudly continued the tradition after last year’s stellar showing featuring Magnum’s Pink & Black campaigns.

Together with Golin, Unilever Singapore’s PR and Social team for Ice Cream and Lux, Cornetto and Magnum clinched four awards including two Gold, a Silver and Bronze, wow-ing judges with campaigns Taylor Swift The RED Tour presented by Cornetto and Magnum: Celebrating 25 Years of Pleasure. Top awards for both PR and digital execution were secured, further emphasising the importance of fully-integrated campaigns. Unilever Lux also attained Gold for bringing to life the iconic beauty brand through the product re-launch campaign.

The six awards were:

Taylor Swift The RED Tour presented by Cornetto took its fans and music lovers on an exciting journey to meet Taylor Swift on her RED Tour in Singapore. Fans got to love the ride and enjoy the ending with the Limited Edition Cornetto Black Forest Red which gave them a chance to meet Taylor and collect memorabilia from her tour. 

Cornetto also supported local music with the Ride to Fame, providing local bands the opportunity to open for Taylor Swift’s RED Tour in Singapore, and giving them greater exposure in the local music scene. Cornetto took home awards for its great work integrating communications platforms both online and offline, garnering them Best PR-led Integrated Campaign (GOLD), Best Engagement for a Targeted Community (GOLD), and Best Use of Social Media (SILVER).

To celebrate 25 Years of Pleasure and chocolate credentials, Magnum launched a campaign lauding its history of chocolate credentials and luxurious chocolate pleasure. Starring the Limited Edition Silver Magnum with Marc de Champagne, the brand scooped the Bronze award for Best Product Launch PR Campaign, which was led by the exclusive 25th Birthday Party last May, and continues to delight Magnum fans.

Faced with the challenge of tighter market competition and engaging new and younger fans, Lux re-ignited brand love with fans through its award-winning Product Re-launch Campaign (GOLD), Ignite the Spark. Lux tapped on insights to find out what women around the world wanted when igniting the spark with their partners, which was soft fragrant skin which helped give them confidence, and dialled up its fine fragrance credentials through a partnership with renowned Master Perfumer, Calice Becker.
