Get the inside scoop on Singapore at the Diverse-City Trails

Take a deep dive into Singapore the Ben & Jerry’s way! In conjunction with Singapore's 50th birthday this year, Ben & Jerry’s and The Thought Collective have come together to curate a series of trails like no other. From 16 March till 16 September 2015, The Thought Collective Diverse-City Trails powered by Ben & Jerry’s aims to engage the public on a deeper level with current issues affecting Singapore in the hope to inspire change and action while having fun and ice cream.

Travel to three distinct communities – Little India, Toa Payoh and Jalan Besar – and get the inside scoop about modern Singapore from the perspectives of key community stakeholders. Find out how our communities have evolved, and what you can do to become more involved in Singapore’s next phase of social development.

To celebrate the initiative, Ben & Jerry’s has renamed one of its scoop shops flavour to ‘Nice Kacang!’. Packed with diverse chunks of goodness – peanut butter ice cream, chocolate nougats and fudge chunks, topped off with sweet and salty pretzel swirls, the flavours come together harmoniously, just like in a mouthful of ice kacang or the colourful cultures that make up Singapore. A melting pot of flavours for a melting pot of cultures and communities – now that is an ice cream worthy of the nation’s jubilee year!

Grab a friend and head down during the weekend for an experiential trail that is uniquely Singapore. Not only is there an early bird price of $20 for the first 300 sign-ups, participants will also receive Ben & Jerry’s vouchers for the new ‘Nice Kacang!’ flavour at the end of the trail, so don’t miss out!

All trail and ticketing information is now available at .

Our communities are important to us. While times have changed, people and communities too have grown and evolved. Step into the shoes of our friends in Little India and find out how a little openness and understanding go a long way!

A beginner’s guide to social innovation

One of Singapore's oldest housing estates, Toa Payoh was once Singapore’s test bed for various social innovations to build cohesion amongst communities. Step into familiar grounds in a new light to understand how happy neighbours in a community are forged and explore the way forward.

Embracing the possibility for unexpected change

Change often requires new people to take the lead and look out for everyone in the community. Come and explore how we can build trust between communities to share our common space.
